Andrews “Andy” Terkpertey is a podcast host, a writer, a debate coach and a biologist. He is currently a debate tutor and competitions lead for AAI Innovation Driven Education Academies Limited in Hong Kong and works with Speech Forces in Ghana to coach the Ghana world schools debate team. Andy hosts and produces his own podcast, called The Shaft Podcast, which tells the stories of Africa’s finest debate legends. He is one of the first West Africans and Ghanaians to reach the semifinals at the World Universities Debating Championship.

Andy aspires to be an influential speaker on issues of public concern, and hopes to explore the world of finance and tech. He is a member of the third cohort of the Doha Debates Ambassador Program and one of six mentors for the 2024 cohort.
