Heba Al Heraki is a Syrian graduate student in the digital humanities and societies program at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar. She graduated HBKU with a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and media and communication, and a minor in political science and international relations. In her free time, she loves to observe and think, either alone or out loud in the form of discussion. Heba is most proud of being a co-founder of Bevol, an online network for volunteers, and hopes to pursue her PhD in organizational psychology in 2025. Heba is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because she thinks the kind of not-strictly-competitive debate, discussion and dialogue that Doha Debates offers is gravely undermined, and because she thinks she has a disposition to discuss and mediate. Heba is also a proud member of the ArguMunazara Center in Turkey, which is concerned with reviving argumentation-related works and manuscripts of many Muslim scholars who wrote at length and spoke about all aspects of debate and argumentation with mind-blowing eloquence and insight.
