Jannatul “Janna” Mawa is a South Asian student in Qatar who is invested in confronting the pressing social problems of her home country, Bangladesh. She is a youth advocate involved with Model United Nations and debate, as well as an advocate for gender equality. A winner of the Pearson Outstanding Learner Award in Physics, she has constructed machines to help her local environment become cleaner and more sustainable. She aspires to be a voice for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Janna is a member of the second cohort of ambassadors, and is one of six mentors for the 2024 cohort.
