Mohamed Shameem KM is an Indian graduate student at Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU), focusing his studies on Islamic economics and finance, human sciences and Arabic. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic studies and English language and literature. In his free time, he enjoys reading, listening to music and learning new languages. Shameem takes pride in being a British Parliamentary debate champion in intercollegiate competitions, and serving as the treasurer of the DHIU students’ union. His future aspirations include pursuing a Ph.D. in literature and becoming a passionate teacher. Shameem is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because it provides a platform to engage in meaningful discussions on important global issues. He looks forward to contributing his perspective and gaining valuable insights to further enhance his understanding of diverse viewpoints. Shameem also sees this opportunity as a means to spread awareness about the program in his circle. Leveraging his expertise in training British Parliamentary debate, he plans to integrate and promote Doha Debates within his debating community. By doing so, Shameem aims to contribute to the growth and impact of the program while fostering a culture of informed and open dialogue within his network.
