Doha Debates Ambassador 2024

Naimul Islam is a Bangladeshi undergraduate student at Northwestern University in the US. With a full-ride scholarship, he studies engineering, economics and international relations. In his free time, he loves writing books, walking beside the sea and doing photography and videography. Naimul is most proud of obtaining a gold medal for the world’s highest score in the 2023 International Medicine and Disease Olympiad (IMDO) and winning a gold medal in the 2023 United States Medicine and Disease Olympiad (USMDO), placing first among all the international competitors. Naimul is also a 2023 WUHC Healthcare Scholar at the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania) and a 2023 Harvard Undergraduate International Relations Scholar with the Harvard Undergraduate Foreign Policy Initiative (Harvard University). He is also a best-selling author and has written many books. Naimul hopes to be a scientific researcher and an impactful social worker. He believes in united action, which can bring lasting solutions in one’s personal life, their community or the world. Naimul is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because he wants to share his opinions and raise his voice for global crises, influencing people’s minds, thoughts and actions. By becoming an ambassador, Naimul intends to be a voice for the helpless and for underrepresented communities across the globe.
