Tymaa Al Bitar is an undergraduate student in bioengineering at Yildiz Technical University. She is from Syria and currently lives in Turkey. In her free time, she loves to bike, walk, watch movies and listen to music. Tymaa is proudest that she was able to travel alone at 17 to a new country, learning a whole new culture and language. She’s also proud of what she has become today and of all the experiences she has been through that built her. She hopes to one day to be a global change-maker in society. She also hopes to get her master’s degree and work in her fields of interest. Tymaa is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because she believes she will gain new knowledge and new experiences, along with the opportunity to meet new people.
