Vanessa Nakate is a climate activist from Uganda. She was the first Fridays For Future climate activist in Uganda and founder of the Rise Up Climate movement. She works to raise awareness of the dangers of climate change and to demand climate action from government leaders. She spearheaded the “Save Congo Rainforest” campaign, and is currently working on a project to install solar-aided eco-stoves in schools.
